Jeffrey Vacirca, MD, FACP

Dr. Jeffrey VacircaDr. Jeffrey Vacirca is a Board Certified Physician in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. His specialties within oncology include: Breast Cancer (National Speaker), Prostate Cancer (National Speaker) and complicated cancers.

Dr. Vacirca received his Bachelors degree from the University at Albany and his Medical degree from St. George’s University. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine along with his fellowships in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Stony Brook University Hospital. Where, in his final year of training he was named Chief Fellow.

His academic appointments include Assistant Professor of Medicine and Medical Director of Outpatient Oncology Services at Stony Brook University Hospital.

Dr Vacirca has been the recipient of the Theodore Roosevelt award for outstanding dedication to patient care. He has also been named in Newsday’s Top Doctors. He serves on the Breast Cancer Leadership Committee at Mather Memorial Hospital. He also was honored by Long Island Aids Care where by serv¬ing as a consulting physician, he enables LIAAC’s staff to bring state of the art HIV testing to disenfranchised Long Islanders.

Dr Vacirca has authored numerous articles on cancer treatment and currently is the Director of Clinical Research at NSHOA. He runs the Prostate Cancer Vaccine Therapy Center and has been the principal investigator on many clinical trials.
