Dr. Malhotra received his MBBS from Mamc Medical College, University of New Delhi, India. He did his internship in medicine as well as residency in internal medicine at Long Island Jewish Hospital, New York. His postgraduate fellowship in medical oncology was at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn and in hematology at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. Dr. Malhotra also received special training in stem cell/bone marrow transplant at New York Medical College, Valhalla. Dr. Malhotra has been in private practice with North Shore Hematology/Oncology since 1981. His interests include breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, and lymphomas. Additionally, Dr. Malhotra is the Director of Stem Cell/Bone Marrow Transplant at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson, New York. He is a frequent speaker to medical professionals and is always considered to be at the cutting edge of recent developments in the treatment of cancer. He has been featured in various articles in Newsday and the New York Times. He was honored with the Theodore Roosevelt award in 1998 by John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in recognition of his exceptional and dedicated service to his patients and the community.
