Radiation Therapy North Shore Radiation Oncology offers the most advanced treatment methods available today. NSRO is a modern outpatient facility conveniently located in East Setauket. As part of its commitment to providing innovative care options for its patients, NSRO has commissioned an Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) unit at its East Setauket facility. IMRT is a revolutionary type of external beam treatment that is able to conform radiation to the size, shape and location of a tumor. It involves varying (or modulation) the intensity of the radiation beam.
